Shwing Entertainment is a Halifax-based creative studio producing films, sketches, live shows, and digital content. From award-winning short films to sold-out performances, we create work that entertains, connects, and leaves a lasting impression... hopefully for the right reasons.

The Minds Behind Shwing
Meet THE Team
Shwing Entertainment wouldn't exist without the many talented people who contribute to our projects, but it all started with three friends who met in high school and never quite grew out of making videos together. More than a decade later, we're still at it - just with much better equipment.

Our films have earned Best Film at the Atlantic Canada 48 Hour Film Project in 2022, 2023, and 2025, while My Friend Gourdon won the Audience Choice Award at Filmapalooza 2025. LIVE ENTERTAINMENT
Shwing Entertainment creates original live comedy shows, theatrical productions, and special events across Nova Scotia. Our productions blend storytelling, comedy, and a love of performance to create memorable experiences for audiences. In 2023, our Halifax Fringe Festival production The History of Stolen Art received the festival's Fringiest Fringe Award, recognizing its originality and unconventional spirit. Whether it's a full theatrical production or a one-night event, we know how to put on a show.
SKETCH COMEDY, WORKSHOPS
& CREATIVE SERVICES
Sketch comedy is where Shwing began. What started as friends making videos has grown into a decade of creating original sketches for the internet, stage, and screen. Today, we also offer sketch comedy classes, writing workshops, creative consulting, and project development services. Through hands-on learning, participants write, perform, and film their own original work before showcasing it to a live audience. Whether you're looking to learn, collaborate, or develop a new idea, we're always excited to help bring creative projects to life.
